DULUTH, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the public to attend an open house on Wednesday, Aug. 26, to receive updates on the planned 2029 resurfacing of Hwy 73 from the intersection with Hwy 27 north through Kettle River.
MnDOT will host the event at the Kettle River City Hall (3977 Main Street, Kettle River, Minn.) from 5-6:30 p.m.

Work zone safety tips
- Obey posted speed limits. The fine for speeding in a work zone is $300.
- Drive undistracted. Avoid using cell phones, mobile devices, adjusting the radio – even eating –while in work zones.
- Move over. Give workers room to safely complete their work.

- Be patient. Expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
- Do the zipper merge.
- Avoid making unnecessary lane changes.
